With its full-coverage cut, bold storm flaps and slash front pockets, this two-layer down jacket takes the classic aesthetic of expedition wear and reinterprets it as snowy-season streetwear. But this is a jacket that will do double-duty as a cosy campfire outer layer too, since the partly-recycled polyester shell also incorporates Aramid fibres: the same super-tough, fire-resistant fabric that is used in firefighting suits and bulletproof vests. So, you can kick back and rest easy in the knowledge that if you catch a stray spark or ember from the campfire, your jacket won’t go up in flames. It also has a DWR (durable water-resistant) finish to fend off light showers, plus a premium 800FP duck down fill to deliver toasty warmth in cold conditions.
The FR 2 Layer Down Jacket is designed to fit loosely on the body. We recommend taking your normal size for a standard fit. If you're on the cusp between two sizes, take the larger size. See size guide below.

Snow Peak's journey began in 1958, when the founder Yukio Yamai, an accomplished mountaineer, created his own line of superior climbing gear. Snow Peak then looked to evolve by shifting its focus from the mountaineering equipment of the past to the camping equipment of the future. Fueled by the booming national interest in auto-camping sweeping across Japan, Snow Peak released a series of radically innovative products which focused on quality, functionality, timeless-durability and considered design.
